Wisconsin LB Tackett Curtis to enter the transfer portal
Wisconsin junior linebacker Tackett Curtis will look to use his final year of eligibility elsewhere as he enters the transfer portal after two seasons in Madison.

It’s been a busy day for the Wisconsin football team and the transfer portal. RB Cade Yacamelli and WR Joseph Griffin Jr. announced their intentions to enter to portal when it opens on January 2nd, and now LB Tackett Curtis will leave the program to explore his options in the portal.
Curtis transferred to Wisconsin after spending his freshman season at USC. He was heavily recruited by the Badgers coming out of high school as a 4-star prospect from Louisiana. Wisconsin got a second chance when Curtis hopped in the portal after one season with the Trjoans. With Curtis came a lot of hype and expectations.
However, in his first season with the Badgers, he struggled with injuries and was never 100 percent, finishing with 27 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss.
He came into his second season with the Badgers at full health, but again, it was a disappointing season. He played in all 12 games for the Badgers, but spent most of his time in the final five games as a backup and special teams player, clearing the way for true freshmen Mason Posa and Cooper Catalona.
The dynamic duo of Posa and Catalano took their chance and ran with it. The pair combined for 21 tackles against Oregon in their first start. From that game on, it became quite clear that they were going to be the inside linebackers from now on.
So, after losing his starting job, it only makes sense for him to look for an opportunity elsewhere in his final season of college football.
In two years as a Badger, Curtis played in 25 games, totalling 56 tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss, and one sack.
