Oklahoma State transfer CB Eric Fletcher commits to Wisconsin
Wisconsin stays hot in the transfer portal, landing their fourth commitment of the day from CB Eric Fletcher.
The Wisconsin football team has been as aggressive as advertised. After landing three players already on Saturday, Oklahoma State transfer cornerback Eric Fletcher gave his pledge to the Badgers as well.
Fletcher transferred to Oklahoma State from East Carolina this past season. He played in 12 games for the Cowboys, tallying 11 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and 3 passes defended.
According to On3, he is the 153rd-ranked CB in the portal and the 1,323rd overall player at the time of his commitment to the Badgers.
He is the second defensive player to commit to Wisconsin from the portal, joining Iowa State transfer Carson Van Dinter, who was the Badgers’ first commit from the portal today.
The Badgers have some players in the secondary to replacem including three cornerbacks in Ricardo Hallman and D’Yoni Hill, who have graduated and entered the NFL Draft, and nickel cornerback Geimere Latimer, who entered the transfer portal.
Like other positions, the Badgers will likely add more players to join Fletcher in rebuilding the cornerback room that is led by the Badgers’ newly-hired cornerbacks coach, Robert Steeples.
Fletcher will come to Wisconsin with three years of eligibility remaining.
