Wisconsin RB Cade Yacamelli to enter the transfer portal
Cade Yacamelli will use his final year of eligibility elsewhere after announcing that he is entering the transfer portal.
Wisconsin Badgers running back Cade Yacamelli will be the fifth Badger to enter the transfer portal when it opens this offseason.
Yacamelli’s rep, Matt Glose, made the announcement, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
The now-former Wisconsin running back has announced his intentions to enter the portal on his social media.
Yacamelli was a part of the Badgers’ 2022 class and committed to the Badgers as an athlete. He was the 73rd-ranked athlete in the country and the 22nd-overall player from Pennsylvania.
In his career with Wisconsin, Yacamelli ran for 571 yards on 107 attempts (5.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. He added 10 receptions for 84 yards in the passing game.
Yacamelli made Bruce Feldman’s yearly ‘Freak List’ featuring the top athletic ‘freaks’ in college football this August.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Wisconsin’s running back room now includes Dilin Jones, Darrion Dupree, Gideon Ituka, Harrison Bortolotti, Mason Lane, and incoming freshman Qwantavius Wiggins.
