Wisconsin football: Safety target Nick Reddish commits to Notre Dame
The Irish come out on top over the Badgers for 3-star safety, Nick Reddish.

The 2026 recruiting class for the Wisconsin football team currently stands at 15 committed prospects and is just about full. There are still a select players the Badgers are looking to add to the class. One of those targets is Nick Reddish, a 3-star safety from Independence High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Badgers had Reddish on an official visit at the end of May, along with many of their top targets in the class. The visit went a long way for the Badgers, and it helped land them in the safety’s final four schools he was considering leading up to his commitment.
Despite the Badgers’ late push, they couldn’t quite overcome the lure of a blue-blood program. Reddish announced his commitment to Notre Dame today.
Despite a strong start at the position in the class after landing Zachary Taylor in June, the Badgers have now struck out on Reddish, Jowell Combay, and Tony Forney Jr. as potential safety additions to the 2026 class.
With their class currently at 15 committed players, it is relatively full, so the staff can be a bit picky. However, if they want to add another safety to the class, they are going to have to open up their search a bit and see what else is out there once the August dead period ends on September 1.
