Wisconsin football a finalist for four-star DE Jackson Ford
Wisconsin football in the hunt for 4-star DE Jackson Ford. The Badgers are a final contender against top Big Ten rivals as his commitment decision nears.

Even though we are in the recruiting dead period of the offseason, players are still narrowing down their lists of final teams and making commitments. One of those players is four-star defensive end Jackson Ford, who just released his final four teams, and the Wisconsin football team is among them.
Ahead of his commitment, Ford (Malvern, PA) has included the Badgers among his final contenders. Wisconsin is battling three prominent Big Ten rivals and blue-blood programs: Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan.
Wisconsin fans won’t have to wait long to see if the Badgers have landed the highly-touted defender, as he will make his announcement on Friday.
Ford was among the 15 recruits who took part in the Badgers’ first official visit weekend that included many of their top targets, which tells you what you need to know about how they feel about him. He followed his visit to Madison with visits to the other three teams as well.
Right now, a commitment to Wisconsin would be a pleasant surprise. He doesn’t have any Crystal Ball predictions on 247Sports, but On3 recruiting has Wisconsin with the lowest chance to land the prospect at just 10%. The Penn State Nittany Lions lead the group at 27.6% followed by Michigan at 20.8%.
According to 247Sports, Ford is a four-star prospect and is listed positionally as an athlete. He is 202nd overall in the country and the 15th-ranked player at his position. If the Badgers were to land the highly-touted prospect, he would immediately be their top-ranked prospect in their 2026 class. His pledge would move the Badgers to the No. 42 class, up from No. 48, where they currently sit in the 247Sports team rankings.
