Wisconsin flips 2026 safety Kah'ni Watts from Houston
The Badgers have added another member of their 2026 class, signing Kah'ni Watts.
When we all thought the Wisconsin football team had finished the early signing period with 13 players in the class, they were burning the midnight oil, battling for one last commitment and signee of the day.
At the start of Wednesday, Kah’ni Watts (Iowa Colony, TX) was committed to Houston, but Wisconsin kept working to flip Watts to Wisconsin, and by the end of the day, he was a Badger.
Here’s a little bit about the newest member of the Wisconsin football team.
Recruiting Info
According to 247Sports, Watts is a 3-star prospect. The online recruiting service has Watts listed as the 110th-safety in the country, the 150th-ranked player in Texas, and the 1,411th-overall player in the country.
On3/Rivals also has Watts as a 3-star prospect and the 133rd safety in the country.
Despite what his rankings would tell you, Watts held offers from multiple Power 4 schools. Wisconsin beat out Houston and Utah for Watts’ commitment. He also held offers from New Mexico and New Mexico State.
With the addition of Watts, Wisconsin now has the 70th-ranked class in the country according to the 247Sports Team Rankings. The Badgers moved up to No. 57 in the On3/Rivals Team Rankings.
