Wisconsin basketball stands pat at No. 24 in latest AP Poll
After starting the season 2-0, the Badgers stick at No. 24 in the Week 1 AP Poll.
The Wisconsin basketball team started the season as a ranked team for the first time since 2020. The Badgers came in at No. 24 this season in the preseason AP Poll.
After one week, where the Badgers went 2-0 in victories over Campbell and Northern Illinois, the Badgers stood pat at No. 24 in the Week 1 AP Poll.
The Badgers received 140 points from the AP voters via the voting system.
Right behind the Badgers are the Kansas Jayhawks, who have 130 points. Creighton remains in front of them with 153 points.
Wisconsin is the sixth-highest-ranked Big Ten team in the Week 1 rankings. Purdue dropped from the top spot to No. 2. Right behind them are Michigan (6), Illinois (14), UCLA (15), and Michigan State (17).
Wisconsin will host Ball State and SIU Edwardsville this week before they travel to Salt Lake City to take on the BYU Cougars, who moved up to No. 7 this week.
