The Recruiting Trail Report: November 7th, 2025
Your latest snapshot of all the commitment updates, official visits, and key decisions impacting the Wisconsin Badgers.
The world of college recruiting never stops, and for Wisconsin Badgers fans, staying on top of every update can be a full-time job. To make it easier, we’ve got the latest news on both the football and basketball recruiting fronts, all in one place.
Let’s get into it.
Wisconsin football has a big recruiting weekend planned
The 2026 recruiting class has reached a critical point for the Wisconsin football team. This season has not come close to what many had hoped it would be, even with the difficulty of the schedule. Because of that, there is understandably some discouragement from some of the players in the class.
As I’ve previously written, some of the top players in the class, like 4-star RB Amari Latimer and 4-star WR Jayden Petit, are starting to take some official visits elsewhere.
This weekend, the Badgers will be hosting a handful of 2026 and 2027 recruits. The outcome of the game against Washington on Saturday could go a long way in keeping players committed and adding some uncommitted prospects as well.
Here is the list of some of the notable players that are expected to attend as of right now:
2026
Ryan Hopkins (3-star QB) - Wisconsin commit
Ben Novak (3-star OL) - Wisconsin commit
Ben Wenzel (3-star LB) - Wisconsin commit
Yahya Gaad (3-star EDGE) - Wisconsin commit
Azel Banag (3-star CB) - uncommitted
Julian Peterson (3-star CB) - uncommitted (former Penn State commit)
Xavier Stinson (3-star WR) - uncommitted
Qwantavius Wiggins (3-star RB) - Florida International commit
2027
Korz Loken (4-star TE) - uncommitted
Cole Reiter (4-star OL) - uncommitted
Isaac Miller (3-star EDGE) - uncommitted
Ethan McIntosh (3-star OL) - uncommitted
2028
