The Wisconsin basketball team improved its record to 7-2 on the season after taking down its in-state rival, the Marquette Golden Eagles, 96-76. With the win, the Badgers have a 4-1 record against Marquette in the Shaka Smart era.

Here are some observations I had during the Badgers’ 20-point victory.

Wisconsin weathers the storm to overcome a slow start

It was a less-than-auspicious start for the Wisconsin basketball team, making just one shot from the floor in the first 5:47 of the game while turning the ball over four times.
