Jonathan Taylor goes off in a record-setting performance for the Colts in Germany.
Former Wisconsin football star Jonathan Taylor has career day in Germany.

When healthy, Jonathan Taylor has been one of the best running backs in the NFL. This year is no different. In fact, JT is having the best season of his professional career. Prior to his Week 10 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, the former Wisconsin football star had led the NFL with 865 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.
After today, he has only increased his lead.
The Colts traveled to Germany to play the Falcons in the NFL Berlin Game. Playing at 8:30 AM CT on the NFL Network, JT went off, carrying the Colts to an overtime victory, 31-25.
In his dominant performance, Taylor carried the ball 32 times for a whopping 244 yards and three touchdowns. He busted a season-high 83-yard run for a touchdown, the longest run of his career. The touchdown also made him the franchise leader in rushing touchdowns, passing Colts legend Edgerrin James, with 65 career rushing touchdowns.
Just for good measure, he ended the game with a game-winning touchdown in overtime to propel the Indianapolis Colts to an 8-2 record.
On the season, JT has 1,139 yards and 15 touchdowns while rushing for 113.9 yards per game, putting him comfortably in the lead in the league in all three categories. He’s also added 30 receptions for 260 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
The former Wisconsin running back is on pace for 1,936 yards and about 26 touchdowns on the ground.
Taylor’s career season is putting him squarely in the MVP race. Winning the MVP award as a running back, however, is rare these days, as the award almost always goes to a quarterback. One would argue that a great deal of the Colts’ success this season is because of Jonathan Taylor.
If Taylor were to win the MVP award, he’d be the first Wisconsin Badger to ever win the award.
