Badgers WR Trech Kekahuna to enter the transfer portal
Wisconsin WR Trech Kekahuna is expected to enter the transfer portal.

Wisconsin Badgers wide receiver Trech Kekahuna is expected to enter the transfer portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Kekahuna is the second Wisconsin receiver to enter the portal, joining Kyan Berry Johnson and Joseph Griffin Jr., who announced his intention to enter the portal last week.
Kekahuna entered the portal last offseason but opted to return to the Wisconsin football program after talking with Jeff Grimes, who was just hired to be Wisconsin’s offensive coordinator.
This season, Kekahuna caught 26 passes for 211 yards. The redshirt sophomore also had 14 carries for 129 yards and a touchdown. Needless to say, it was not the season he or the Badgers were expecting offensively.
In three seasons with the Badgers, Kekahuna logged 55 receptions, 614 yards (11.2 yards per reception), and two touchdowns.
He flipped to Wisconsin from Arizona on national signing day as a part of the Badgers’ 2023 class. He was a 3-star prospect and the 67th-ranked wide receiver, according to the 247Sports composite.
With the departure of Kekahuna, Griffin Jr., and Berry Johnson, the Wisconsin wide receiver room heading into next season includes Chris Brooks Jr., Tyrell Henry, Eugene Hilton, Landon Nordgaard, Davion Thomas-Kumpula, Mason Kelley, Ben Lemirand, and incoming freshmen Keeyshawn Tabuteau and Zion Legree.
